Furniture Painting Inspired by Canvas Art Challenge

I have just completed another really fun collaboration with LaVonne of LaVintage Decor in Altoona,  Pennsylvania.

I am always up for a challenge, and LaVonne and I had a really good time with this one!

We challenged each other to paint a canvas painting, and then mail it to the other, and then we were to create a piece of furniture inspired by canvas painting. This really took us out of our comfort zones!

Here is our Zoom call, when we received each other’s paintings:

We each created our own pieces, inspired by the paintings. I LOVE how LaVonne’s turned out! Stepping out of your comfort zone can be so good for the soul!

My piece doesn’t mimic LaVonne’s art, but I was indeed inspired by the colors and the scene, and made it my own. I used Dixie Belle Colonel Mustard, Daisy, Bunker Hill Blue, Honky Tonk Red, and Cotton, as well as Easy Peasy Spray Wax, and Best Dang Wax in Brown. All are available in my store, and I truly appreciate your purchases.

I am blown away by LaVonne’s piece!
